Our Round Table meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday in the month for a business and a social meeting. We also have joint meetings and both social and sporting events with other local Tables. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and professions, and it is this, which really enriches the experience of being a member of Round Table. From a member’s point of view, it is not only who you are that is of benefit to the Table and the Community but what you can offer in character, aptitude and conviviality.

The past few years has seen a resurgence in the strength of Hungerford Round Table with many new members joining. This increase in numbers, coupled with the enthusiasm of new members has resulted in a successful period for our Table. The camaraderie that has developed, has enabled us to organise and implement various events for the community and raise significant funds for local charities while maintaining a strong element of social enjoyment.

The highlight of our year is the Hungerford Carnival which Round Table has organised for many years. The event is a substantial fund-raiser for local charities. Our other annual events include; the Town fireworks display, the Father Xmas Float and O.A.P. Xmas Food Parcels. We also have working parties that directly carry out community project work. Examples of this being installing new benches at the skateboard park and work on the Smitham Bridge Road children’s Play Area.

We are looking forward to both receiving new members and developing new projects and events for the community.
